2020 Annual Meeting and COVID-19

DCEC would like to inform you that the 2020 Annual Meeting has been POSTPONED. DCEC is working hard to conduct this year’s meeting in the safest way possible for members and staff. That means that the Coop is taking steps to conduct the meeting virtually instead of in-person. This virtual meeting is scheduled for Thursday, November 12th at 6 PM. Participation instructions via Zoom will be made available several weeks prior to the meeting. All details about the Zoom meeting will be posted on our website on this page.

What does that mean for Cooperative Members?

1.) Please disregard the “Official Notice” postcard that was mailed to Members in early September to serve as notification for the Annual Meeting in September.

2.) Absentee ballot deadlines will all be shifted to later dates to align with the new Annual Meeting date of, November 12, 2020.

a.) Absentee ballot request forms may be received as late as Friday, October 23, 2020.

b.) Absentee ballots must be received by mail or in-person at the Cooperative’s office as late as Friday, November 6, 2020.

3.) Please be aware that all absentee ballots already received will be held until the new annual meeting date of November 12, 2020.  They will still be counted.  Members do not need to re-submit an absentee ballot if they’ve already done so.

4.) The credit for properly completed absentee ballots will be added to your December bill instead of your October bill.
